Greg Heafner is a graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park (BA, 1987), and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (JD, 1995)
His practice is limited to civil litigation. Concentrating in litigation involving: automobile related personal injury claims; residential construction law claims, and general contracting licensing and disciplinary proceedings; and Federal fair housing issues. Greg practices in both North Carolina State and Federal Courts. He is, as well, an NCDRC Certified Superior Court Mediator.
He is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, United States District Court Bar (Eastern District of North Carolina), North Carolina Bar Association (past member of Construction Law Section), Orange County Bar Association, North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers (member of Auto Torts Section), and past member and chairman of the Town of Chapel Hill Board of Adjustment.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Greg both owned a construction company and worked in the general contracting industry as both a superintendent providing onsite site management of commercial construction projects, from site development to project completion, and as a project manager managing large multi-million dollar commercial construction projects from conceptual budgeting to project completion.
